A Strong Foundation Starts Here

Every retirement looks different. We help you compare plans from multiple Minnesota carriers to explore options that may fit your life, not the other way around.

Medicare Advantage

All-in-one plans combining hospital, medical, and prescription coverage. Some plans in certain areas may have $0 premiums for eligible beneficiaries and may include extras like dental, vision, and hearing. Benefits, premiums, and availability vary by plan and location.

Turning 65?

Medicare Supplements

Help fill the gaps in Original Medicare to reduce unexpected medical costs. We help you compare Medigap plans from multiple MN carriers.

Medigap

Under 65? We help you explore plans on MNsure and may help you identify premium tax credits you could be eligible for.

Under 65

Part D Drug Plans

We check your medications against available plan formularies to help you compare total costs: premiums, copays, and deductibles combined.

Prescriptions

Dental, Vision & Hearing

Standalone plans for benefits Original Medicare may not cover. We help you compare rates from available Minnesota carriers we represent.

Annual Plan Reviews

Your needs evolve and so do plans. We proactively review your coverage each year and adjust if something better comes along.

Ongoing

Check Your Prescriptions Before You Choose

Wondering if your medications are covered? Use Medicare's official Plan Finder to look up your drugs, or bring your medication list to your consultation and we'll check every plan's formulary for you.

ACA Marketplace & MNsure Coverage

Health insurance guidance isn't just for Medicare. If you're under 65, self-employed, between jobs, or need individual or family coverage, we help you navigate the Marketplace and may help identify savings you qualify for.

For a complete list of available Qualified Health Plans, visit HealthCare.gov or MNsure.org.

Premium Tax Credits

You may qualify for APTC to lower your monthly premium based on household income and size.

Individual & Family Plans

Coverage for self-employed, freelancers, early retirees, and families needing insurance outside of an employer.

Life Change? Special Enrollment

Lost job-based coverage, got married, or had a baby? You may qualify for a Special Enrollment Period.

Four Steps to Solid Coverage

From first call to enrollment, we handle the hard parts so you can focus on what matters.

1

Book a Call

Schedule a 30-minute review. Phone or video, your choice.

2

Share Your Needs

Your doctors, medications, and priorities. A quick form ahead of time makes this easy.

3

See Your Options

We research available plans, verify your providers, and present 2-3 options tailored to your needs side by side.

4

Enroll with Confidence

Pick what fits. We handle the paperwork and confirm everything is set.

What We Will Never Do

We believe you deserve an advisor you can trust. Here is what that means in practice.

We will never call you unless you contact us first.
We will never pressure you to enroll on the spot.
We will never recommend a plan without checking your doctors and medications first.
We will never share your information with other companies.
We will never earn more for recommending one plan over another.
We will never switch you to a plan that does not fit your needs.

We are not employed by any insurance carrier. Our guidance is based on your doctors, your medications, and your budget. We educate, you decide.

Turning 65? Your Medicare enrollment window is limited. Don't miss key deadlines. Talk to an Advisor
$0

Our advisory service costs you nothing.

Insurance carriers, not you, pay us a fixed commission set by federal guidelines when you enroll through us. This commission is the same regardless of which carrier or plan you choose, so we have no incentive to steer you toward any particular option. Your plan premium is the same whether you use a licensed advisor or enroll on your own.

Same Price as Going Direct

Carriers set the rates. Our help never adds to your cost.

No Fees. Period.

No consultation charges. No enrollment fees. No annual costs.

Independent & Licensed

We are contracted with multiple MN carriers. Our recommendations are based on your needs, not sales quotas.

Support That Grows With You

As your needs change, we're here to adjust. Year after year.

Your foundation.
Your future.

Built to Help You Grow

Pine Rock Health exists because retirement should feel like the beginning of something, not a maze of paperwork and confusion. Too many Minnesotans settle for coverage that doesn't fit, simply because the options feel overwhelming.

We are independent, meaning we work for you, not for any insurance company. Being contracted with multiple Minnesota carriers lets us compare plans side by side on your behalf, so our guidance is based on what fits your situation. No sales quotas. No pressure. Just information to help you make informed decisions, not just for this year, but for the long run.

Whether you're approaching 65, already on Medicare, or need marketplace coverage, I'm here to make sure your next chapter starts on the right footing.

Built Different From the Start

We know Medicare agents have a reputation. We are here to change that. Here is how Pine Rock Health is different.

Independent, Not Captive

We work for you, not for any insurance company. We are contracted with multiple Minnesota carriers so we can compare your options across the market.

Same Commission, Every Plan

Federal guidelines set our compensation at the same rate regardless of which carrier or plan you choose. We have no financial incentive to steer you anywhere.

Education First, Always

We explain how Medicare works before we ever discuss a plan. You will never feel lost or rushed. Our guides and resources are free for everyone.

No Cold Calls, Ever

We will never call you out of the blue. Every conversation starts because you reached out to us. No robocalls. No pressure. No exceptions.

Common Questions

How is this actually free?

Insurance carriers compensate licensed agents and brokers for enrollment assistance. Your plan premium is the same whether you work with us, go through the carrier directly, or sign up on Medicare.gov or HealthCare.gov. Our advisory service is free to you. We help you compare options and understand your coverage choices.

Absolutely, and we encourage you to explore every resource available. You can enroll on your own through Medicare.gov, call 1-800-MEDICARE, or contact Minnesota's Senior LinkAge Line (1-800-333-2433) for free, unbiased counseling. We see ourselves as one of many resources. What we add is personalized plan comparison across multiple carriers, checking your specific doctors and medications against each option.

Three to six months before turning 65. Your Initial Enrollment Period opens 3 months before your birthday month and closes 3 months after. Missing this window can mean permanent late penalties. Already enrolled? We can review your plan anytime.

No. We also assist with ACA Marketplace plans through MNsure for individuals and families under 65, standalone dental and vision plans, and supplemental coverage. We are licensed to assist with various types of health insurance in Minnesota. Contact us to discuss your specific needs.

Never. We review your plan annually and only recommend a change if something meaningfully better exists. If your current plan still fits, we'll tell you to keep it. Our job is to protect your foundation, not shake it.

Medicare Advantage (Part C) replaces Original Medicare with an all-in-one plan that often includes drug coverage and extras like dental and vision. Medigap (Medicare Supplement) works alongside Original Medicare to help cover out-of-pocket costs like deductibles and coinsurance. You generally cannot have both at the same time. We help you understand which approach may better fit your healthcare needs, preferred doctors, and budget.

You can enroll in Original Medicare (Parts A & B) through Social Security at ssa.gov or by calling 1-800-772-1213. For Medicare Advantage, Medigap, or Part D plans, a licensed agent like Pine Rock Health can help you compare your options and assist with enrollment. Your Initial Enrollment Period starts 3 months before you turn 65, so planning early is recommended.

All of it. Most consultations happen by phone or video, so it doesn't matter where you are. Twin Cities, Duluth, Rochester, or anywhere in greater Minnesota, we've got you.
